Who we are
This site is run by Phonics Unpacked, an independent UK project. For any privacy question, contact us at phonicsunpacked@gmail.com.
What we don't do
- No cookies of any kind, so there's no cookie banner.
- No analytics or visitor tracking.
- No advertising or social media tracking scripts.
- No third-party fonts: our font is stored on this site.
- Downloading the sound mat doesn't ask for, or record, any details about you.
What our host processes
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks and abuse. We don't use this information to identify or profile visitors.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: keeping the site available and secure. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Email sign-up
Our weekly tip email isn't open yet, and the sign-up form on this site can't send anything. Before it opens, we'll update this notice to explain which email provider we use, what we store and how long we keep it. We'll only email you if you tick the consent box yourself, and every email will have an unsubscribe link.
YouTube videos
Our video cards are links to YouTube. If we add a video player to a page, nothing loads from YouTube until you press play, and then only through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once you're watching on YouTube, Google's own privacy policy applies.
Shops
When our printable packs launch, payment will happen on a separate shop platform, which will have its own privacy notice. We'll update this page with details before then.
Children
This site is written for parents and carers, not for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. As we don't collect personal information through this site, there's usually nothing to provide, but you're welcome to ask. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
